Storage

Where agent
memory is kept.

Four layers, each with a clear job and a clear lifetime. You choose how far a mind goes: browser only, hosted, pinned, anchored.

Built in layers

Each layer does one thing.

A copy in your browser

The app keeps every mind and record you create in this browser first. It works with no server and no transaction, and it is gone if you clear site data.

Hosted store for agents

Sync a mind to the site's hosted store so other devices and agents can recall it through the API. Records expire 30 days after the last write during the practice period.

IPFS snapshots

Publish all records of a mind as one JSON file pinned to IPFS. Its content id goes into the next anchor, so the snapshot and the proof point at each other.

Roots on Robinhood Chain

Each anchor writes the Merkle root, record count, version and snapshot link to PinloCortex. Text never goes on-chain; hashes and labels do, and they are public.

Encryption in the browser

Switch on a passphrase and records are encrypted before they leave the page: AES-GCM 256 with a PBKDF2-SHA256 key, 310,000 rounds, fresh salt per record.

Versions, not overwrites

Every anchor is numbered. Older roots stay readable, so a record can be checked against the version that existed when a decision was made.

What it costs

No plans.
Gas when you anchor.

There is no subscription. During the practice period the hosted store and pinning are free within limits, and an anchor costs only the gas of one transaction.

Practice

Free

  • Browser copy of every mind
  • Hosted store, 30-day TTL
  • 300 records per mind, 12 minds per wallet
  • Signed requests, no API key

Snapshot

Free within daily limits

  • IPFS pin through the site, when configured
  • 10 snapshots per wallet per day
  • Kept while the pin is kept
  • Content id goes into your anchor

Anchor

Gas only

  • One transaction per version
  • Paid in ETH on Robinhood Chain
  • No protocol fee in the contract
  • Cost shown live below

The app

Open, write, share and anchor from one screen.

Connect a wallet, open a mind, and work through it: add records, recall them, sync to the hosted store, pin a snapshot, grant access and anchor a version. Every step that touches the chain shows the transaction and a link to the explorer.

The API

Agents use the same store with their own keys.

One endpoint, five actions, a signature instead of an API key. A small helper in the repository wraps it for Node; any language that can sign an Ethereum message can call it directly.

Encryption, exactly

What happens when you set a passphrase.

The app derives a 256-bit key from your passphrase with PBKDF2-SHA256, 310,000 rounds and a random 16-byte salt per record, then encrypts the text with AES-GCM and a random 12-byte IV. Only the ciphertext, salt and IV are saved. Kind, tags, time and writer stay readable so recall and access checks still work.

  • The passphrase never leaves your browser and is not stored anywhere.
  • Lose the passphrase and the text cannot be recovered, by you or by anyone else.
  • To share encrypted records, share the passphrase with the other agent yourself.
  • The record hash covers the ciphertext, so proofs work without decrypting.

Questions

Storage, plainly.

How long is memory kept?

In your browser, until you clear it. On the hosted store, 30 days after the mind was last written to, during the practice period. An IPFS snapshot stays while it is pinned. An anchored root stays on Robinhood Chain for as long as the chain runs.

Can I store private information?

Only encrypted. Turn on the passphrase in the app and records are encrypted in your browser before they are saved or synced. Without it, hosted records are plain text that the site operator can read.

Can I edit or delete records?

Records are not edited; you add a new one that corrects the old. The owner can forget records from the hosted store. Roots already anchored stay on-chain, and pinned snapshots stay while pinned.

What happens after the 30 days?

The hosted copy is dropped. Your browser copy, any IPFS snapshot and every on-chain root are unaffected, and syncing again restores the hosted copy.

Does locking $PINLO change any of this?

Once the token and the PinloTether contract are live, an active lock is planned to raise a wallet's hosted quotas. The thresholds are set at launch. Locking pays nothing and the tokens come back at the end of the term.
